Surefire Bluegrass Band was officially formed in December 2007. The founding members are: Robby Norris - mandolin (age 15), John Bryan - guitar (age 18) and Tom Isaacs - banjo (age 20).
The 4th member of Surefire is Tim Norris on bass.
The debut CD, which was released on Christmas Eve, 2007, is entitled The Old, Old House. There are 12 songs on the project including: Julie Ann, Crying Holy, Little Maggie, Pike County Breakdown (instrumental) and I'll Wear A White Robe which is done acapella.
The second CD by Surefire - Meet Me By The Moonlight - is
available now at Surefire performances, from band members, at Appalachian Music Shoppe in Boone, or by e-mail. The CD features 12 cuts - the same hard-driving bluegrass you are
