- Surefire was formed in December of 2007. Based out of Boone, NC, the original members are Robby Norris, John Bryan, and Tom Isaacs. Heavily influenced by the pioneers of bluegrass music, this band provides a traditional, hard-driving experience.
- Robby Norris, at age 16, provides mandolin and baritone vocals for the band. Influenced by Bobby Osborne, Jesse McRenolds, and Bill Monroe; he has developed his own unique style and copies no-one.
- 19 year old John Bryan got his start singing in church at a young age. His solid rhythm guitar playing holds the drive and timing for the band. John takes care of the tenor and high lead vocals with experience beyond his years.
- Picking the banjo and singing the majority of the lead is 21 year old Tom Isaacs. Having performed with artists like Dr. Ralph Stanley and The Gillis Brothers, Tom is no stranger to professional bluegrass music.
- Tim Norris is playing bass on the recordings and does shows with us whenever available. The three full-time members are always accompanied by a good, solid bass man and dress the part of a traditional bluegrass show.
